Omro Middle School has expanded the features along the 2.2-mile Omro fitness trail with the installation of an eighteen hole Frisbee golf course. The public’s interest in Frisbee golf creates a positive addition towards the overall commitment in improving fitness opportunities within the Omro community. Tee #1 is located at the tennis courts at 455 Fox Trail Avenue in Omro. Tee #9 is located at the corner of Fox Trail Avenue and Webster Avenue in Omro.
Frisbee golf is very similar to traditional golf. Instead of using golf equipment, players use Frisbees (discs) and throw them at an aboveground target instead of a hole in the ground. The object of the game is to throw a Frisbee into the target for par or better, i.e., in the fewest number of throws. The target is a steel basket with chains and there are tee directing new players to the next station.
