Congratulations to OMS and OHS Fox Friday winners from November 1, 2024! These students were nominated by staff members or other students for demonstrating the Fox Four (Safety, Responsibility, Respect, or Positivity).
Staff members were nominated by students or other staff members for being a role model, an advocate for students, or having a positive connection with students.

Have you seen what the FabLab and Art Department has been up to lately?
Mr. Turner and Mrs. Benbo, along with their students, designed and developed a Fox mold. Once created, it was then painted by an Omro graduate to create this one-of-kind Fox that is proudly displayed in the OMS/OHS office.
Stay tuned for other exciting posts featuring the Omro FabLab!

Each quarter, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department recognizes students for their outstanding contributions.
Congratulations to Madelynn who was selected by Mrs. Morse to be a 2024-2025 Quarter 1 CTE Student Spotlight for the Family and Consumer Sciences department!

Congratulations to Mrs. Miller's sophomore readers! The top readers in each of the English 10 classrooms were awarded their favorite treat for reading the most books in quarter one.
Keep up the great reading!

During November, students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class displayed their talents by executing a plate of garnishes using their creativity and garnishing tools. Well done!!

Earlier this month, students in Mrs. Morse's World of Children recently participated in Infant Care Stations. They learned how to hold the baby, choose appropriate books, diaper a baby, dress a baby, teach emotions, and practiced motor development of an infant.

Youth Apprenticeship (YA) is a 1- or 2-year program that gives juniors and seniors in high school the chance to explore a career area of interest. Students spend part of their school day earning credit and wages while they gain valuable industry experience under the guidance of a local business mentor. 🌟
Employers are also encouraged to engage in ongoing conversations with the students regarding the potential for ongoing employment and post-secondary education recommendations tied to the careers that they were exposed to.
Every Youth Apprentice student that successfully completes the career path program requirements will earn an Occupational Skills Proficiency Certification. This certification verifies that they have gained the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to be successful in their chosen industry within the state of Wisconsin.

Throughout high school, Malia has been a part of Varsity Dance, Spanish Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, Soccer, and Volleyball. In addition, she has been the Class President for three years, been on Open Council for two years, and was an Academic Bowl winner. She has also volunteered at Oktoberfest, Trick-or-Treat for canned goods, homeless shelters, volleyball tournaments, blood drives, highway clean up, and more!
Outside of school, Malia enjoys dancing, even competing in a solo category.
After graduation, she plans to attend UW-Madison and explore graduating with a nursing degree. She would also like to continue her education by attending midwifery school.
