A group of Mr. Schumacher’s AP World class took a trip to Germany over spring break.
After visiting Munich, the students on the AP World trip spent time in Berlin, the capital of Germany.
On the way to Berlin, students visited Mödlareuth, which was the divide between East and West Germany. This town was known as “Little Berlin,” and was guarded as closely as the Berlin Wall.
The first day was jam-packed with history: Students took a guided tour of Berlin’s major sites, a walk through the Memorial the Murdered Jews of Europe, a stop at the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie, a visit to the Topography of Terror Museum, and a panel discussion on growing up in Berlin during the Cold War.
On the second day in Berlin some student participated in a chocolate-making workshop at Ritter Sport, while others visited the GDR Museum. Students then learned about modern Berlin at the Global Berlin exhibition at the City Palace. Finally, students participated in a scavenger hunt that had them exploring the city and ended at the famous Brandenburg Gate.
Thank you to all you helped make this amazing experience possible for our students!

CTE Student of the Quarter
Each quarter, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department recognizes students for their outstanding contributions.
Congratulations to Bella, who was selected by Mrs. Morse, to be a 2024-2025 Quarter 3 CTE Student Spotlight for the Business Family and Consumer Sciences Department!

Students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class recently reviewed recipe reading and writing. Their task was to write their own recipes for an appetizer using ingredients already found in the foods lab. There was much pride and creativity shared amongst the class.

Omro High School selects a senior student each month to be the Student of the Month. Seniors are selected for their academic successes, leadership abilities, citizenship, and extracurricular activities. The seniors who are selected for this honor are also invited to attend an American Legion meeting for recognition by the sponsoring organization and may go on the ballot to be a graduation speaker.

Throughout high school, Delia has been involved in Soccer, Sources of Strength, National Honor Society, and Key Club. She can also be found volunteering her time by participating in Highway Clean Up, Shopping Day with Kids, working field days and the Milis Track Meet, as well as making birthday and Christmas cards.
Outside of school, Delia enjoys seeing her family, hanging out with friends, and being outside.
After graduation, she plans to continue her education at UW-Green Bay, majoring in human biology and planning to then go to medical school.

In today’s world, knowing another language opens so many doors—that’s why our foreign language courses go beyond just vocabulary and grammar. Students don’t just learn how to speak another language—they connect with new people, explore different cultures, and gain valuable skills that last a lifetime. 💬💡
From the very first class, students are engaged in hands-on learning that makes language exciting. As they progress, they dive deeper into cultural traditions, global perspectives, and real-world communication skills that extend far beyond the classroom. By the time they reach the advanced levels, they’re not just speaking another language, they’re gaining a broader view of the world. 🗺️
And the impact doesn’t stop at graduation. Many of our alumni have traveled the world, studied abroad, and used the knowledge they gained here to take their next big steps. Whether they’re working internationally, building new friendships, or simply navigating new experiences, the time spent here has been helping them every step of the way.

On Monday, March 10, Sources of Strength hosted a school-wide Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament to bring everyone together and have some fun.
Students got a beaded necklace when they arrived at school in the morning. They played R-P-S during passing time and lunch to win the beads of their opponent. Students had to have at least 5 necklaces to challenge a staff member. At the end of the day, the whole school cheered on the top 16 winners for the tournament. Grant Fink was the gracious champion of a $20 Kwik Trip gift card.
Fun was had by all.

The Art Walk is scheduled for April 10, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Please join us for an evening celebrating our Omro artists!

AP Biology students recently made working models of cell communication pathways and then put their phones to educational use making stop motion animations of their models in action.
It was a fun way to learn about complex processes.
