Omro High School

CAPP English 101, taught by Mrs. Miller, is the freshman writing course at UWO available to our seniors. Students study writing and a specific theme for the semester. Past themes have been: Family, Multiculturalism, Happiness, Awe, and others.

This year the theme is "Fun". Students will be exploring. What is fun? Does having fun make you smarter? What can we learn about the importance of the concept of having fun? What benefits can we obtain from having fun in our personal, profession and academic life?

Students read journal articles, lead discussions, practice writing, and research which leads to a formal research paper.
Today in class students demonstrated a "little fun" by blowing bubble gum bubbles.

Earlier this week, on Wednesday, September 3, the Omro community was invited to attend a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the start of the referendum projects.

A huge THANK YOU to our school board, district leaders, community partners, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us . Additionally, a special thank you to Art Eichmann Photography for sharing images of this event.

OMS/OHS Picture Day

On Friday, September 5, Network Photography will be on site for OMS/OHS Picture Day. As a remidner, all students must get their photos taken, even if families are not ordering pictures.

Per guidelines from Network Photography, students may not wear any hat/hood/head covering/costume or alter their face in any way, shape or form (religious and cultural head coverings/medical exceptions are made).
