Congratulations to OMS and OHS Fox Friday winners from April 5, 2025! These students were nominated by staff members or other students for demonstrating the Fox Four (Safety, Responsibility, Respect, or Positivity).
Staff members were nominated by students or other staff members for being a role model, an advocate for students, or having a positive connection with students.

Each quarter, Mrs. Miller's English 10 students participate in a Book Challenge. Each day, students read for 5 to 10 minutes to begin their English class. First semester, all sophomore students were competing individually in each class period. Quarter three had students participating in a class period competition. Not only were students reading a book for English 10 Book Club, but also reading the other books to be the class that read the most.
Congratulations to Mrs. Miller's first period class! Before break they received the infamous "Miller Mix" and will receive another prize early in quarter four.
Quarter Four Book Challenge will begin this week as students select a book of their choosing to read the first 5 to 10 minutes of class each day.

For the 2024-2025 school year, we would like to introduce/share about as many staff members as possible, as everyone has an integral role in our school community.
Staff were asked to share about themselves using a "6 word summary." Read on to learn a bit more about our 5th grade team!

Spanish 4 students learned a little about the foods of Spain, and then cooked and enjoyed those foods. The recipes included Patatas Bravas, Pan y Chorizo, Paella (a saffron rice dish), Brazo de Gitano (a delicious rolled cake), rosquillas (lemony donuts), torrijas (similar to French toast) and more. The students were EXCELLENT chefs and everyone enjoyed themselves.

A group of Mr. Schumacher’s AP World class took a trip to Germany over spring break.
After visiting Munich, the students on the AP World trip spent time in Berlin, the capital of Germany.
On the way to Berlin, students visited Mödlareuth, which was the divide between East and West Germany. This town was known as “Little Berlin,” and was guarded as closely as the Berlin Wall.
The first day was jam-packed with history: Students took a guided tour of Berlin’s major sites, a walk through the Memorial the Murdered Jews of Europe, a stop at the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie, a visit to the Topography of Terror Museum, and a panel discussion on growing up in Berlin during the Cold War.
On the second day in Berlin some student participated in a chocolate-making workshop at Ritter Sport, while others visited the GDR Museum. Students then learned about modern Berlin at the Global Berlin exhibition at the City Palace. Finally, students participated in a scavenger hunt that had them exploring the city and ended at the famous Brandenburg Gate.
Thank you to all you helped make this amazing experience possible for our students!

We would like to take a moment to say "Thank You" to all of our paraprofessionals for their incredible dedication and hard work. The support they provide makes a real difference in our students' lives!

CTE Student of the Quarter
Each quarter, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department recognizes students for their outstanding contributions.
Congratulations to Bella, who was selected by Mrs. Morse, to be a 2024-2025 Quarter 3 CTE Student Spotlight for the Business Family and Consumer Sciences Department!

Students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class recently reviewed recipe reading and writing. Their task was to write their own recipes for an appetizer using ingredients already found in the foods lab. There was much pride and creativity shared amongst the class.

Omro High School selects a senior student each month to be the Student of the Month. Seniors are selected for their academic successes, leadership abilities, citizenship, and extracurricular activities. The seniors who are selected for this honor are also invited to attend an American Legion meeting for recognition by the sponsoring organization and may go on the ballot to be a graduation speaker.
The March Student of the Month is Delia.
Throughout high school, Delia has been involved in Soccer, Sources of Strength, National Honor Society, and Key Club. She can also be found volunteering her time by participating in Highway Clean Up, Shopping Day with Kids, working field days and the Milis Track Meet, as well as making birthday and Christmas cards.
Outside of school, Delia enjoys seeing her family, hanging out with friends, and being outside.
After graduation, she plans to continue her education at UW-Green Bay, majoring in human biology and planning to then go to medical school.

A group of Mr. Schumacher’s AP World class took a trip to Germany over spring break.
Their first stop was Munich, the capital of Bavaria. They first took a walking tour of the city and saw many famous sites, including the Glockenspiel and the Frauenkirche. Students then visited Dachau Concentration Camp where they spent time to reflect on the dark and important history that happened there.
On the second day in Munich students began by touring BMW World. They then visited the famous Hofbrauhaus, spent time in the local markets, and visited museums at the Residenz. Some students also participated in a biking tour through the English Garden.
On their final day in Munich, students took an excursion into the Alps to see Mad King Ludwig’s Linderhof palace. Students then explored and shopped in the famous Bavarian village of Oberammergau, which is known for wood carving, painted houses, and a passion play that has been running for centuries.
The group then headed off to Berlin to learn more about Germany’s history in the 20th Century.

Students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class learned how to appropriately hold a chef's knife to execute 9 knife cuts. Attached is the best of show cuts displayed for the application assessment. Nice job Maddie and Colton!!

Students in Mrs. Morse's Food for Life class just learned about how to read a nutrition facts label. Each student made their own individual pizza by choosing the amount of ingredients and nutritional value based on reading the food labels.

On Friday, March 14, some members of the OHS Spanish Club went to a Latin Dance Workshop at the Latino Arts Community Center in Milwaukee. Under the direction of Karlies Kelley, Director of Panadanza Dance Company, students learned about the different influences and moves of Salsa dancing. They had a lot of fun learning the dance, and after working up an appetite, enjoyed some excellent Mexican food at Botana's Restaurant.
